Totem is the product and company brand. TotemLayer, Totem Layer, and totemlayer.com refer to the same project and canonical website.
A narrow trust layer between companies.
Totem helps a receiving company answer two questions about an external AI agent: which organization does it represent, and does it hold current authority for this exact request? The platform returns a bounded verification result and audit evidence before the receiving system decides whether to act.
The product focuses on cross-company identity, recipient-bound credentials, challenge-bound proof, live revocation checks, and receiver-controlled enforcement. It does not score an agent’s honesty or make the requested business action safe.
One brand, one canonical domain.
The brand is written as Totem. TotemLayer is the compact domain-oriented name, and Totem Layer is a spaced spelling of the same name. The canonical public website is https://totemlayer.com.
New product pages, documentation, metadata, and structured data use that relationship consistently. Existing AgentTrust protocol names remain technical compatibility aliases, not a second public brand.
Production beta with explicit limits.
Totem has a runnable product implementation, a public handshake contract, production deployment profiles, and automated security tests. The current service remains a production beta. It does not claim general availability, a service-level agreement, or independent security certification.
The public site describes the controls implemented in the repository and keeps procurement examples labeled as fictional sandbox flows. Review the AI agent security page and Terms of Service before relying on a hosted deployment.
